Our News

Dear Friends and Family of Erin Mills United Church,

The EMUC Sunday service and Wednesday Prayer service will continue online using the Zoom platform until further notice. The possibility of returning to the building for worship will be reassessed each month at the Leadership Circle meeting.

Join our services by clicking the 'Join our Email List' on this website and then enter your email address. Select the 'General' list. You will then receive the emails with the service link each week as well as our Friday Message and newsletter. Most churches are closed for services. We invite all our neighbours, friends and family members to join our online services.

Office Hours:

Tina is in the church office on Tuesdays and Fridays from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., plus one additional floating day, when she will go in as required. She will work from home the other two days. You can reach Tina through email, office@emuc.ca, or call 905-820-9466 ext.23 to leave a message. If you need to access the church, Tina is happy to schedule an appointment.

  • A New Refugee Family Co-sponsorship

In 2015, Erin Mills United Church, Erindale United and Streetsville United formed the Northwest Constituent Group to sponsor Syrian refugees under the jurisdiction of the United Church of Canada.  Two families and a single man have now successfully settled in Canada.  Two of these families are now wanting to sponsor a third Syrian family of four (husband, wife, an eight-year-old daughter and a four-year-old son) currently in UAE to come to Canada. This family is related to one of the originally-sponsored families. At the April meeting of the Leadership Circle, a motion passed which approved the request that the Northwest Constituent Group become co-sponsors for this refugee family. The two families will be the Sponsor Group responsible for all monetary requirements and day to day guidance and orientation to life in Mississauga.  The Constituent Group is responsible for the application and overseeing the whole process.
