SOLAR PANEL DEDICATION
On Sunday November 27th, 2011, EMUC along with representatives from the community, provincial government and larger church participated in the dedication of 52 solar panels that are now installed on the roof of the church. The panels are fully paid for by contributions from the congregation and their friends. Each day that the sun shines, the panels produce energy that is sent to the ‘grid’. The panels will contribute to the production of clean energy and to the financial status of EMUC. To date, EMUC is the first church in Mississauga to install solar panels and the first United Church in Halton Presbytery. We hope our initiative will encourage other churches and faith groups to follow suit!
